Outpouring Diocesan Retreat
What is a retreat and Why do I need to go?
Retreats are an integral part of faitih formation because they allow us to "retreat" (get away, take a break) from our everyday commitments and responsibilities. Retreats gives us a chanve to temporarily shut off the pressures of the outside world. This allows us to more authentically reflect, pray, listen, and form new friendships in a way that is hard to do with all the noise (literal and figurative) that fills our normal daily life.
You deserve a weekend like this! Ask your BIG FISH - they LOVE retreats!
The weekend includes Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The retreat begins with check in at 6:30pm-7:00pm on Friday, and will end at 11:30am on Sunday. St. Andrew will bus confirmation candidates to and from the retreat center.
This retreat is led by Jay Jong and Fearless Ministries. Jay is a youth minister at Church of the Resurrection in Lansing, MI. He and the Fearless Ministries team coordinate retreats for parishes/groups across the Diocese of Lansing.
Due to the way this retreat is programmed, students MUST attend all three days. For students that are not spending the night, drop off time on Friday is 6:30pm-7:00pm; pickup is 10:00pm. Saturday: Drop off no later than 9:30am, and pick up at 10:00pm. Sunday: Drop off no later than 9:30, pick up at noon. Lodging for those that are staying overnight will be 2 participants per room.
Participants will be paired with another of the same gender from their parish.
On retreat, you will spend lots fo quality time with your small group and attend large group presentations and activities. This is a chance to be spiritually renewed, to learn more about our Catholic faith. Most importantly, this is a time for YOU to encounter Jesus Christ and understand how God fits into the big picture of your life!
