Catechesis of the Good Shepherd- This Montessori based method of educating the whole person focuses on the senses that awaken the Holy Spirit through contemplative activities leading to a personal encounter with Jesus. Christ is the thread woven and pulled through every aspect of our day to help form hearts according to His will.
Education in Virtue- This resource from the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist further supports the development of the whole person by equipping one to pursue goodness in all things. Educating in virtue is essential for character formation and living a life of freedom and grace. Children will apply daily virtues through the lives of the Saints to become the person God has created them to be; this is a value of living a virtuous life.
Sensory Rich Experiences- These will be integrated throughout our day to help children learn to recognize and regulate their emotions, identify and name how they feel, learn to process the emotion, and respond with self-control in developmentally appropriate ways. Teachers and caregivers provide the support needed to establish and sustain positive relationships while learning to work through challenging behaviors in a calm supportive environment.
Creative Curriculum- The resource used in our PreK classroom is a comprehensive research-based curriculum featuring meaningful exploration, rigorous inquiry and imactful growth through play based child-led experiences. Our classrooms are designed with a focus on developing the whole-child, offering intentional opportunities for building language and literacy, mathematics, science, technology, and art designed around each child's unique and individual needs.
