Kelly received her Catholic Education through the Sisters of Mercy in NJ at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bound Brook & at Mount Saint Mary Academy in Plainfield/Watchung. She continued her Catholic Education through college the religious classes, campus ministry programs, and music ministry at the University of Dayton. The University of Dayton is a Catholic Marianist Priest & Brother school. There, she received a BS degree in Environmental Biology.
Kelly is a trained Catechist through the Diocese of Lansing.
In the past, she has volunteered at St. Andrew Catholic Church as a religious education catechist for grades 2, 5, and 6. She joyfully shared the Old Testament & the Church Liturgical Calendar with 6th-grade ARK students in years past. From 2016-2020, Kelly organized and led children ages 7-17 through the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults. The name of the program was,
Children Coming to Christ.
She began her ministry as the St. Andrew Bulletin Editor in September 2015. Beyond putting together the weekly parish bulletin, she served as the website editor, and parish Facebook & YouTube liaison. In the Fall of 2019, she began to work more closely with parish commissions and ministries, providing practical support for their events & programs. This often came in the form of "Coffee & Donut 'Drop In Ministry Time' in between Sunday Masses.
In the Spring of 2020, when the Coronovirus Pandemic began, she was behind the camera as part of the Live-Stream Videography Team.
In January 2021, she took the position of Communications Coordinator as a full-time emplyee at the parish.
She is called to spread the call to Works of Mercy as well as encourage parishioners to actively participate in corporal works of Mercy.
