![]() | Amy Evans - Preschool 3 Lead Teacher Amy Evans has four children, and went back to school in 2019 to earn an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught at a local preschool for the last few years before joining St. Andrew. Along with her associate’s degree, Amy has a Master of Science in Psychology. She enjoys gardening, exploring nature, and riding bikes with her family. |
![]() | Janet Cook - Preschool Director, Preschool 4 and Young 5s Lead Teacher Janet cook was the Director of Faith Formation for Prek- 8th grade at St. Andrew before our school opened and she started working with our preschool. Before joining St. Andrew she has over 20 years experience teaching in grades K-2. Janet has a BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University, and MA in Elementary Teaching from Marygrove College, has a 4 year certificate from Catholic Biblical School of Michigan, and is certified for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1, 2 and Infant/Toddler. Janet enjoys knitting, bike riding, walking trails, boating, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. |
![]() | Patricia Strassburg - Kindergarten Patricia Strassburg has 15 years teaching experience in both preschool and kindergarten, and was voted favorite teacher in 2023 by Ann Arbor Family. She has a Bachelor of Science and Elementary Teaching Certificate, and enjoys the outdoors, hiking or spending quiet time enjoying God’s outdoor creations. |
![]() | Kristin Talaga - First Grade Kristin Talaga is the very first teacher hired at St. Andrew Catholic School. She comes to us from St. Clement of Rome School in Des Peres, MO. Kristin has been teaching for over 10 years. Saline is her husband’s hometown, so upon hearing about our new school, Kristin felt the Holy Spirit calling her to bring her family here and be part of building this community. Kristin earned her Masters of Education from Notre Dame University of Maryland and her BA from Saint Louis University, majoring in Education and Psychology and minoring in Theology. She is looking forward to getting to know the students and families, and having her own children be part of our parish and school. |
![]() | Audrey Single - Second/Third Grade Audrey Single brings so much joy, zeal for God, and passion for teaching to our school. She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Lourdes University and has experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade. |
![]() | David Fiske - Sixth/Seventh Grade David Fiske will be an upper elementary teacher at St. Andrew and has over 20 year’s experience working in Saline Area Schools. He is excited about joining St. Andrew to help set the foundation for growth and greatness, and is excited that the school is founded on God’s love, a love for our community and a love for prospective students and their families. David has his BA of Education and Masters of Education from University of Michigan. David enjoys rowing and founded the Saline High School rowing team. |
