Dearly Beloveds at St. Andrew,
Being surprised in this awkward time of pandemic isolation by a small envelope on the floor just inside my apartment door was joyful, uplifting, and humbling. Being thought of and gifted with time, care, prayer, and a Buschs card lifts my spirit in a week when holiday of Thanksgiving will be observed alone with family just 3 miles away. At age 81 with some health conditions, not gathering is prudent, no matter how a-typical.
Thanksgiving is so much more than a harvest celebration; and it is a mood of spirit, soul, and heart that truly infuses one’s being especially on the particular day; but also serves as a boost to one’s holy immunity from the desert of want.
The expanse of your heart in responding to Christ’s call for LOVE is sure to bless your deepest wellspring of His enduring love for you.
I pray that what you cast upon the waters will return many-fold to bless you ever and ever. Thank you!
